高考英語作文說明文指導

　　說明文是指說明事物的情況或道理的文章，目的'介紹某一方面的知識。一般來說，高考中的說明文常涉及 : 商品介紹、旅游指南、科技讀物和 工作總結這幾類，而形式上常以圖畫、圖表和文字提示的形式出現。考生要根據實際情況綜合運用多種說明方式，以便從不同角度、不同方面把說明 對象完整地介紹出來，從而增強表達效果。同時注意運用適當過渡詞來體現上下文的邏輯關系：

　　1.表示時間順序的：then，now，soon，afterwards，later等。

　　2.表示程序、動作過程的：first，second，firstly，secondly，first of all，next，at first，at last等。

　　3.表示遞進的：what’s more，once more，what is worse，in addition，besides 等。

　　4.表示解釋和說明：namely，for example，for instance，actually，believe it or not，to tell you the truth，that is(to say)，according to this，for this reason等。

　　5.表示比較、對比的：just as，just like，more or less，sooner or later，on the contrary，on the other hand等。

　　6.表示總結的： finally，in conclusion，in a word，in general，generally speaking，in short 等。

　　My hometown is a small town. It has a population of more than 200 thousand people and an area of 36 square kilometers. It is at the foot of a mountain. In front of the town lies a big river.
