in the u.s, there are 2 basic college entrance exams. some schools prefer one over the other, but most schools will accept either one. differences do exist between the tests, but they both are very similar.

1) act: this test has several sections. it tests your understanding of logic, grammar, reading, and math.

2) sat: this test has 2 parts: math and english. this test is similar to the gre except it is easier. both of these tests only test basic skills. they focus on asking simple questions in confusing ways. they test people's ability to take tests more than their knowledge. however, in the u.s, the entrance exam is only a small part in the application process. colleges consider many other things. even if don't
do well on the exam, you can still get into an average college.
