Catherine: Our shipping arrangements are very detailed .We wrap each doll in seven layers of bubble-wrap and then pack them in separate boxes. We have never had any problem with breakage.

Jerry: Well ,that’s a relief .We’ll still need to insure them though.

Catherine: You are in luck ,Jerry, the insurance is covered in the purchasing price.

Jerry: So…if I do not get insurance ,I can get an even better discount?

Catherine: Nice try Jerry, but it is a fixed cost and non-negotiable.

Jerry: Well ,I had to try. How do you normally ship them ?

Catherine: We have a contract with UPS. If you want to use any other shipping method ,the costs are going to go up .

Catherine: Have you had a chance to look over the contract?

Jerry: Yes, it looks great. The only problem we might have is with the termination clause.

Catherine: How’s that?

Jerry: Well, it says that either party can terminate, given just 60 days’ notice.

Catherine: Yes. That gives you a way out if you have second thoughts or if some problem comes up.

Jerry: I appreciate that. But what protection do we have if you decided to terminate early? We’ll be left with empty shelves right in the middle of the Christmas season!

Catherine: We can easily change that, if that’s what is worrying you. As long as you are complying with the terms of the contract, we wouldn’t have any reason to terminate.

Jerry: Thanks! That would be reassuring to us.
