美國麻省理工學院獎學金申請制度詳解
美國麻省理工學院通過各種途徑及方式為研究生提供經濟上的資助，如研究生或研究員薪金、獎學金、教學研究資助等。其實MIT一直在尋求更多的獎學金申請者，學校也會對其進行嚴格的審核，從中挑選出符合獎學金授予條件的學生。
一、MIT本科生獎學金制度
在麻省理工學院，每年有73%的本科生獲得基于財政需求或基于優秀的獎學金，這些獎學金來自各種不同機構，約$9,930萬的獎學金;27%的學生來自年收入低于$75,000的家庭;62%的學生可以得到基于財政需求的`、無需償還的獎學金，平均數額為$31,928;44%的學生可以得到助學貸款，平均數額為$15,228;62%的學生可以得到校內或校外的兼職工作，每年平均收入為$2,992。提供給本科生的獎學金來源包括：MIT scholarships、Federal grants、State scholarships、Outside scholarships、Veterans Benefits。
二、MIT研究生獎學金制度
約82%的研究生可以得到來自各種不同機構的財政援助;研究生助教獎學金對學生來講是最主要的獎學金來源，每年有約2,500名的研究生(41%)被安排為助教人員;約1010名研究生(17%)可以得到基于需求的財政援助，如提供學生貸款和有報酬的工作，總金額約$4,370萬;15%的研究生可以得到助學貸款，平均數額為$44,709;約218名研究生通過Federal Work Study Program提供的校內外工作機會獲得了總額約$250的收入，平均每人約$11,400。
