2017考研英語：學用插入語來變換句型

　　考研英語作文中學會用插入語，可以增加語言的亮點，讓句子更錯落有致。

　　插入語不難。在英語中任何成分都可用兩個逗號或破折號隔開成為插入成分，插入語可以是一個詞、一個短語、或是一個句子。下面我們來看兩個句子的對比。

　　Ancient men made tools of stone. For instance, they always used flint because it is easier to shape than other kinds.(未使用插入語)

　　Fortunately, however, ancient men made tools of stone, especially flint, because it is easier to shape than other kinds. (使用插入語)

　　相比之下，第二個句子會更加地道，因為地道的英語句子就是要寫得跌宕起伏。

　　插入語可分以下幾類：

　　副詞插入語：frankly, especially, fortunately, indeed, however

　　【例句】Tourism, frankly, may promote the mutual understanding among nations.

　　【譯文】坦率地說，旅游可以促進國家之間的相互了解。

　　短語插入語：generally speaking, to tell the truth, in a sense, in a word, strange to say

　　【例句】Parents, in a word, should never lose sight of the side-effects of computer games on their children.

　　【譯文】總而言之，家長不該無視電腦游戲對小孩的副作用。

　　短句插入語：I suppose, as I see it, I believe, what is important

　　【例句】Environment, what is important, has a far-reaching influence on one’s personality.

　　【譯文】重要的是，環境對人的性格有深遠影響。

　　萬能插入語：rather than肯前否后，這個短語可以放在句子中的任何一個成分后面。

　　【例句】It abolishes the presumption of innocence and places the citizen at the service of the state rather than the other way round.

　　【譯文】新法廢除了公民的無罪假定并且將公民置于為政府服務的`地位，而非政府為公民服務。

　　一些相對特殊的插入語：在考研中有一些相對特殊的插入語具有較強的固定表達意味，例如：

　　to some extent 從一定程度上講

　　at length 終于，最后;詳細地

　　at the mercy of 在……支配下

　　以后的寫作訓練中，考生可以有意識地運用插入語，久而久之便會發現插入語的好處。
