2. Also, union spokesmen emphasize that the benefit of the increased production and lower costs made possible by automation should be shared by workers in the form of higher wages, more leisure, and improved living standards.(1990. 閱讀. Text 1)

【析句】英語中抽象名詞的使用十分廣泛。主句union spokeman emphasize,emphasize后是that賓語從句。賓語從句的句子主干是the benefit of the increased production and lower costs should be shared by workers...,主語the benefit of the incresed production and lower costs包含多個抽象名詞，使行文較為簡練。
3. It is emphasized that since the employer involved in such a plan has a direct financial interest in preventing unemployment, he will have a strong drive for planning new installations so as to cause the least possible problems in jobs and job assignment. (1990. 閱讀. Text 1)
【譯文】要強調的是，因為該計劃中的雇主在防止失業時有直接的財務利益，他會非常積極地去計劃安裝新的設備以盡最大可能減少工作和工作分派中遇到的問題。
【析句】復合句。主句It is emphasized,it作形式主語，真正的主語是后面的that從句。從句中，首先是since引導的原因狀語從句，the employer has a direct financial interest in...,之后是主句he will have a strong drive for...so as to...，so as to作介詞短語引導目的狀語。
